Our Committee

Our Committee aims to provide support, advice and guidance to promote the best possible operation of the Pre-school and Cabin Club. Run by volunteers from the local community who between them provide a broad range of professional skills and experience, the Committee meets regularly to review finances, policies and operations and advise the leadership team, helping where possible to solve problems, add value and bring new ideas. We run regular fundraising events and deal with a wide range of issues from building maintenance to child protection policies.

As our children grow and move on to school inevitably we also see our Committee members move on. As such we are always looking for enthusiastic parents and carers who take an interest in the first stages of their children’s learning to join our Committee and be a part of running the setting. Without our Committee members the Pre-school cannot run, and your children and the community would lose what we think is a real asset. So please consider if you can spare 2 hours a month to make a difference in your children’s learning and your community and join our wonderful committee

If you are interested in joining our committee either attend one of our meetings or contact the administrator who would be happy to put you in touch with our chairperson.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the fundraising ventures and welcome any one who would like to join.

All of our committee members are DBS checked.  We are always grateful for new Committee members.  We meet once a month during term time at the local pub for about an hour and a half to discuss the running of the setting. Becoming part of the Committee is a brilliant way to support the setting. If you think that you might like to join us then feel free to talk to Heather our Chairperson or Nicky our Preschool Business Manager. Our meeting dates are put on our white board outside and an email is sent out.

delicious treats. I live in Holbrook, so I like to take my dog 

for walks around the village.'

'I live in Holbrook and I have lots of different animals;

sometimes I bring in reptiles for the children to see. When I'm

not with my animals I am spending time with my nieces and nephews.'

the children at the Pre-school, I am spending time

with my many nieces and nephews or riding my bicycle.

food for the children at pre-school.'

'I have been working for the Pre-school since January 2015 and deal with

all the different aspects of Office Management. I have 2 daughters and enjoy

taking my cocker spaniel Bella for long walks in the countryside.'
