About Us

Holbrook Playgroup has been running for many years by committed, caring and qualified staff. Their primary aims are to offer a secure, friendly and stimulating environment which promotes learning through play for every pre-school child in their care.

Each child is given the opportunity to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy a wide variety of activities. Activities are designed to stimulate the child’s creativity and imagination, extend the child’s understanding of the world around them, develop language and listening skills, learn to work in groups and to respect and value people from all backgrounds. They have a lot of fun too.

Holbrook Playgroup is affiliated to the Pre-School Learning Alliance and is regularly inspected by Social Services and Ofsted. All Health and Safety Guidelines as required by Ofsted Early Years are followed.

A full copy of all our policies and procedures is available for parents to view.

Caterpillar club-

As you know, preparing your child for primary school is an emotional time, so we like to help your caterpillars blossom into butterflies that are ready for school. Caterpillar club is held during the last 12 weeks of pre-school, and is on Friday afternoons. We cover all areas of your child's learning and provide new activities every week. forest walkforest walk

For those of you that have younger children that are not going to school in September, we have another club also held at the setting called 'The bumblebees' during those Friday afternoons. The children explore their senses and get involved in new creative activities so that they are not missing out on any of the fun!
